1. Legal Aid Program

The Legal Aid Program is the core program of Talitha Koomi and the reason of Talitha Koomi existence. It provides accessible quality legal aid services for the most disadvantaged women of society.

            Talitha Koomi has a lawyer to register cases and settle them, sometimes in and sometimes out of court. Together with the Community Activist who organizes the seminars and contacts the women. The lawyer visits women at home, in court, in the hospital or in jail. They try to counsel families’ victims and perpetrators in order to start up a reconciliation and healing process. Talitha Koomi has dealt with some severe cases of violence such as murder case, rape and abduction beside cases of domestic violence. The Legal Aid Program dealt with over 642 cases of violence against women successfully.

2. Ecomomic Empowerment Program 

Economic empowerment is a vital part of our program activities at Talitha Koomi. We believe that the economic empowerment is the key to control conflicts between male and female. Once women learn to earn, control and manage their money they will be more confident and empowered. They will be less vulnerable of being exploited. 

Economic empowerment program was initiated so that women are able to learn different skills enabling them to become economically independent.

3. Education & Awarness Building Program 

This program provide women and men with knowledge about their legal rights and knowing how to obtain them.  This program help women recognize discrimination, domestic violence and harassment. We want to empower woman so that she can able to speak up within her family and outside and break through the taboo of those issues that women will talk about it among themselves and support each other. We want that Women will start raising their children different.
