“I was only 14 when I was in a relationship with Danish, 13 years senior to me. I was still a teenager when I married to him. Danish was violent and controlling at home. We had a child, a boy age 5 When I  have to fled the family home, unable to cope with Danish’s persistent family violence, I left without my kid, assuming I could pick him up in a day or two.

 

However, Danish prevented me from seeing the kid at all for nearly one month. I had moved away from my home town to escape Danish’s anger and reprisals. I had to travel for hours to see my only child. But Danish had his mind changed and keep him away from me. I came to TKWS desperate for legal assistance because Danish had told me that I would “never see the kid again”. I was unable to pay for a private lawyer.

TKWS legal team successfully obtained orders in favour and I got the custody of my son. Under protection of court orders made Danish liable to pay maintenance cost to me. So I am no longer under Danish control. I am living a peace full life.”
