“I am a former midwifery student of Talitha Kumi. I completed my training in 2010. I lives next to Talitha Kumi Center. I works in a clinic. My marriage life was terrible. My husband does nothing but suspects my for cheating on him. He beat me daily. One day I decided to leave him along with the kids and came to my parent’s house. Next day when I was on my way to workplace, my husband stopped me and started slapping & kicking me badly. I went unconscious. He lifted me up and took to the nearby sewerage water drain. He was about to throw me into the drain when passersby stopped him. He ran away leaving me unconscious on the road. People took me to the hospital. After this episode I came to Talitha Kumi. Legal Aid team tried to contact him but he did not respond positively. So it was decided to file a case of dissolution of marriage."
