Midwifery Graduation 2016

Talitha KUMI's 26th batch of midwives will step into the real world on 10 December 2016 in a graduation ceremony to be held in United Christian Hospital. These women are part of Talitha KUMI's midwifery programme initiated in year 2001 to economically empower young girls. They have completed their prescribed one and half year course of training.
Midwifery Training is part of Talitha Kumi's Economic empowerment Program and it is a vital part of program activities of Talitha Kumi Welfare Society. We believe that the economic empowerment is the key to control conflicts between male and female. Once women learn to earn, control and manage their money they will be more confident and empowered. They will be less vulnerable of being exploited.
Economic empowerment program was initiated so that women can learn different skills enabling them to become economically independent.
