Celebrating 75th International Human Rights Day 2022

Human Rights Day is observed by the international community every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This year we are commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights sets out a broad range of fundamental rights and freedoms to which all of us are entitled. It guarantees the rights of every individual everywhere, without distinction based on nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, religion, language, or any other status.
All Human Being are born free and equal in dignity and rights
Talitha Koomi Welfare Society also observe Human Rights day on 10 December to promote human rights, human dignity, freedom, peace and harmony. Awareness building seminar was held in Nawaz Sharif Colony, Ferozpur Road, Lahore.
Talitha Koomi Welfare Society call on the Government of Pakistan to take concrete steps to remove restrictions on women’s role in society, promote gender equality, violence against women, harassment, hate speech and threats, needs to be addressed furiously. Government must integrate gender approaches into national policies and programmes, and setting laws to protect women and their rights. Government to protect women and guarantee their right to participate in public and political life.
