Lets meet Chand Shahzadi. Her inspiring life story is indeed a lesson for everyone. In a patriarchal Pakistani society, she is leading as head of her family as she is taking care of her old ailing father and a drug addict brother.

At very young age she lost her mother. Her father ailment caused early retirement from his work. Chand being eldest among the sibling took the lead and joined Talitha Koomi for Midwifery Training and also worked as “domestic help” in the evening & night. After completing the training she was able to join a good respectable job in a hospital. This training not only increased her earning but also her confidence and selfesteem. She forgone her own marriage over her younger siblings marriages.

Chand Shehzadi is a very brave girl. Her life is a lesson for every girl who is not financially strong. She motivates women to move ahead and live a life without dependence on others. She lightens a light of hope and integrity.

Shahzadi helped her brother and bear all the expenses of his marriage by herself but unfortunately his wife left him because of his addiction. Shehzadi put him into drug rehabilitation center. Because he is an addicted person and does not financially support his father and sisters.

Few years ago, She had no skill and training. She was not able to work anywhere. But she didn’t lose heart amidst all difficulties of life So, she decided adopt a respectable profession rather than work as house maid. Meanwhile she came to know about TKWC and joined this organization to start a new journey of a successful life. She did midwifery training and got her diploma, now she is doing a respectable job and supporting her family in a better way.

Chand Shehzadi encourages the girls who are forced to work as house maids in houses that they should adopt a good and respectable profession for their good reputation in society.

She is a dedicated sister and a responsible daughter. Soon she will get married.
