Almost 33 million people are currently affected by the devastating flooding started a month ago by heavy monsoon rains. The death toll from the floods had risen to 1000.

Millions of people are become homeless after their homes are swept away. Now they are living in tents away from their villages and home overrun by floods.

These displaced victim of flood immediately need food, clean water, tents, clothing and medical assistance. Lack of clean water may cause illnesses sweeping through relief camps with children most at risk, who are already scared and traumatized.

Disaster management researcher believe that Women and children are 14 times more vulnerable than men when catastrophe strikes. (UNDP)

Therefore, women and children need immediate support & relief.

Talitha Koomi request international community, UN, donor agencies, humanitarian organizations for their immediate action for the relief of millions of people devastated by the flooding. The quantum of this catastrophe is beyond the capacity and capability of Government of Pakistan which is already going through the worse economy crisis since birth of Pakistan.
